Jimi Jamm began his radio career at Genesee Community College in 1987. He was also a recording artist for Buffalo-based Amherst Records in 1990. He landed his first professional radio job at WNYP in Ithaca, NY. From there his career took him all over the country, to stations in Detroit, Omaha, New Haven, Minnesota, Texas and Poughkeepsie, NY as a Program Director and air talent. He even spent some time in the music business in artist promotion.

Wake up with Jimi weekdays starting at 6! Steve Weber checks in with news, Jimi covers Western NY sports, Meteorologist Kevin Williams brings you the Weather Track Forecast, Earl Pitts checks in with his own brand of commentary at 7:50 and then it’s Tradio at 9:00am.

Jimi is also CJ Country’s Section V football play-by-play announcer, teaming up with John Carlson in the broadcast booth to bring you all the action. Jimi and his wife Margot reside in Batavia along with their dog, Cookie Gilchrist & cat, Patchy. If you haven’t guessed from listening, Jimi loves all things Western New York, especially his Buffalo Bills for which he is a season ticket holder.
